Operations Manager for Independent Insurance Agency
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Versatile position offering a variety of skills and responsibilities. Our independent insurance agency is partnered with Applied Systems utilizing their Epic platform. As system administrator of Epic, the functionality of Epic within the agency is crucial for the agency to work. This includes troubleshooting of computer issues, computer and printer networking, user administration, purchase of equipment as well as setting up workstations/laptops, download set up and working with the outsourcing of our IT. Maintaining licensing for agents, company appointments, continuing education monitoring and annual reports. Hiring, training, counseling of employees while maintaining a cohesive/positive workplace. Accounting which includes bank reconciliation, direct bill and agency bill reconciliations, paying bills, processing deposits, invoicing, benefit liaison for the 401k and profit share plan, payroll and tax reporting.
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of 4 years of insurance experience.
· Completion of an insurance certification or designation
· Ability to lead others and get results through others.
· Ability to multi-task while maintaining priorities organized.
· Problem analysis and resolution.
· Willingness to understand the larger scope of business practices within the organization.
· Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Team player with a commitment to company values.
· Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
· Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
· Minimum of 2 years of accounting experiences
